Kelly Clarkson on ABC “Duets”
ABC has just green-lit a new reality musical competition series starring Kelly Clarkson for this summer. After a much talked-about stint as one of the mentors of The Voice, Clarkson returns to the reality summer realm that made her famous a couple years ago when she won the first season of American Idol. Kelly will be competing against Jennifer Nettles, Robin Thicke and Lionel Richie. The dynamic of the show is to travel across America to look for the best undiscovered talent who will then team up with each celebrity and compete for a recording contract. What an original idea! Guess ABC forgot that Fox made this show under the name Celebrity Duets.
Terra Nova might get another shot
If you were one of the few people watching the Land of the Lost, er, Terra Nova and you were upset and didn’t know what to do with your life after you heard it was canceled, then you might be happy it might come back. Deadline reports that there are talks going on with Netflix to pick up the series to produce a second season of the Steven Spielberg-produced show. Not a bad idea since studies show that it was one of the shows that would gain viewers once DVR viewers were factored in. However, the cost of each episode would most likely weigh in when making an ultimate decision.
