Sinister Sneak Peak

The horror film Sinister will not hit theaters until October but will be shown at the SXSW Fest in Austin on Saturday in a so-called “super secret screening”. Starring Ethan Hawke and Vincent D’Onofrio, this haunting film is about a crime novelist who through found footage starts to investigate the murder of a family that used to live in his new house. Throughout the investigation he realizes that he is not only putting himself in jeopardy but his whole family as well. Directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose), Sinister is expected to attract a big audience on Saturday.

The Rock Star Tom Cruise

Rumor has it that Tom Cruise is in talks of signing up for Clint Eastwood’s remake of  A Star is Born, a Warner Bros production. The movie already has Beyonce on board and if Cruise joins the cast this will be his second appearance in a singing role after his film Rock of Ages (not yet released) where he plays an 80s icon a la Axl Rose. Interesting.

The Hangover III?

Absolutely not official yet, but if there is going to be a third installment of The Hangover, Ed Helms has been said to be 100% on board to make it happen. After having been very drunk and suffering memory loss in both Las Vegas (The Hangover) and Thailand (The Hangover II), he also jokes and says that their next location would have to be Mars! Where would the adventures of Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms)  and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) take us if there were to be another hangover? Will the wolfpack stay together? We are all eager to know!

The Movie Rotten Tomatoes Did Not Like

Eddie Murphy’s supposed comeback film A Thousand Words did not go over well on the site Rotten Tomatoes. In fact, the movie received the worst reviews in the site’s history! Wow. It is the first wide-released movie of 2012 that’s received the score of zero from the critics! Opening today, we are going to have to wait and see what the public thinks! Poor Murphy, he should have hosted the Oscars.
