Vanessa Williams Joins 666 Park Avenue
It is the last season of Desperate Housewives, but at least one of the ladies on Wisteria Lane already has a new gig. Vanessa Williams has scored a regular role on 666 Park Avenue. The pilot is set over at ABC and it is based on a book series by Gabriella Pierce, centered on a young couple that manage a historic apartment building in New York City. Soon after they accept the offer they start experiencing supernatural occurrences that endanger the lives of of everyone in the building. Williams will be the wife one the buildings owner. The pilot is set to shoot next month and if it is a go it would start this fall. Thank you American Horror Story, now we can expect a slew similarly themed shows.
Susan Lucci To Star In Primetime Soap
Now that soap operas are slowly dying and with the cancellation of All My Children a year ago, Susan Lucci was out of a job. Deadline now reports that Susan has been cast on the ABC tv pilot Devious Maids. The pilot written by Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives) is based on the Mexican series Ellas Son… La Alegria Del Hogar about a group of maids that come together after they find a dead body. Susan will be one of the employers, named Genevieve Delacourt, a beautiful, wealthy woman who is a little crazy. If the plot wasn’t campy enough, we are sure Susan will bring all the campy soapy acting with her and we are excited about this one.
Friends With Kids Critique
If you are looking for a movie to watch this weekend, don’t watch Friends With Kids if you’re expecting another Bridesmaids. Although one of the major selling points for this movie is Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Jon Hamm, the movie is not about their characters. Instead the movie is centered on Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt as a couple of friends who decide to have a child together without being emotionally attached when they see that their friends all have kids. Their is absolutely no chemistry between these two that it is impossible to make you care for them. However, it does take a raw look at life that makes you reflect on your own. We warned you, watch with caution.
