Attention LA Dwellers! Here Comes Citizen Twain

Do you like Val Kilmer movies, Mark Twain books and long walks in cemeteries? Read on!

Val Kilmer — who has played everything from Batman to Jim Morrison — is back in action, hot off his New Mexican ranch, to put on a one man show playing none other than Mark Twain.

Seven years in the making, Kilmer has secluded himself in Twain research –– creating a one man show which he will direct and star in. The show, Citizen Twain, plays at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery now through April 11. Sixty dollars per ticket to see Kilmer in all his Twain glory; This could be history in the making folks.

Kilmer plans on using his experience in the play to make a film later. Click HERE to read a full interview with The Hollywood Reporter about his journey in bringing Twain to life.

Bully Fights To Open Unrated…

The MPAA gave Bully an R rating for foul language and violence. Interesting, being that Hunger Games was given a rating of PG-13.

Hunger Games was given this rating to allow tween fans the opportunity to see death, blood and gore in true Hollywood fashion. But when it comes to REAL violence and hatred, apparently people under the age of seventeen –– the ones who are being bullied –– can’t see it on screen, but are allowed to experience it in life.

The premiere was last night at Chinese Grauman’s Theatre in Hollywood, where it was announced that Bully will be released unrated. Now it’s up to the theatres to decide if they want to play the film and help get the word out on this truly sad topic.

Director Lee Hirsch had this to say:

“The small amount of language in the film that’s responsible for the R rating is there because it’s real. It’s what the children who are victims of bullying face on most days. All of our supporters see that, and we’re grateful for the support we’ve received across the board. I know the kids will come, so it’s up to the theaters to let them in.”

Bully opens in LA and New York this Friday, March 30.
